Earlier this year, I set a goal for myself to walk 50km in one day. It was a big goal, that required lots of training.
But other priorities have taken over my time, and I wasn't able to train nearly as much as I needed in order to be successful.
The cold weather has arrived now, and soon Ottawa will be buried in a beautiful layer of white. The temperatures and snow would make this challenge much harder.
So I've decided to postpone this project for next year - probably late spring. Not abandoned - postponed.
Such is life, specially when we set hard goals - we don't always succeed, we don't always arrive. But it's the journey that matters, the persistent efforts we make to advance.
Thanks to all who kept asking me about my training, you were very helpful.
